Who we are

RecallDeck is operated by Vivek Borra, trading as RecallDeck, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. Contact: hello@getrecalldeck.com.

RecallDeck ("we", "us") is a spaced repetition flashcard application. This policy explains what information we collect when you use RecallDeck, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address. You sign in with a one-time link sent to that address; authentication is handled by Supabase. Accounts created earlier through Google sign-in also hold the display name and avatar image Google provided.
• Your content. The decks and flashcards you create (card fronts, backs, and tags), and any text, documents, or links you submit for AI card generation.
• Study activity. Your review history, ratings, streaks, and scheduling data, which power the spaced repetition algorithm and your statistics.
• Technical data. Basic logs (such as request identifiers and error reports) used to keep the service reliable and secure.

Waitlist emails

If you join the waitlist for an upcoming feature (such as RecallDeck for Claude), we store the email address you enter, your optional answer to "What are you studying?", and the date you signed up. You do not need a RecallDeck account to join.

• We use your waitlist email only to send you launch updates about the feature you signed up for. We do not add it to any other mailing list, and we do not share or sell it.
• You can ask us to delete your waitlist entry at any time by emailing hello@getrecalldeck.com. We will remove it within 30 days.
• Waitlist entries are stored in the same Supabase-hosted database as the rest of the service and are not publicly readable.

AI features

When you use AI card generation or AI explanations, the text you submit (for example, pasted notes, the text of a PDF or web page, an image, or the text of a flashcard) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the result. We send only what the feature needs.

That content is not used to train AI models: we do not use it for training, and under Anthropic's commercial terms content sent through its API is not used to train its models. If you do not use the AI features, your content is not sent to Anthropic.

Payments

Paid subscriptions are processed by Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. Dodo Payments collects and processes your payment details (such as card information and billing address) under its own privacy policy — we never see or store your card details. We receive from Dodo Payments only what we need to manage your subscription, such as your email, customer and subscription identifiers, and subscription status.

How we use your information

• To provide the service: storing your decks, scheduling reviews, and syncing your progress.
• To operate paid features and manage your subscription status.
• To secure the service, prevent abuse, and fix errors.
• To respond when you contact us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your flashcard content for advertising.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored in our database hosted by Supabase, and the application runs on Vercel. Payment data is held by Dodo Payments. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

Your choices

• You can edit or delete your decks and cards at any time from within the app.
• You can clear all of your study data from the Settings page.
• You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing hello@getrecalldeck.com. We will complete the deletion within 30 days.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from it or your use of RecallDeck is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Andhra Pradesh, India.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
