Terms of Service

1. Agreement

RecallDeck is operated by Vivek Borra, trading as RecallDeck, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. Contact: hello@getrecalldeck.com.

RecallDeck ("we", "us") is a spaced repetition flashcard service. By creating an account or using RecallDeck you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

RecallDeck lets you create flashcard decks, study them with a spaced repetition scheduler, and optionally generate cards using AI. The free plan includes up to 200 flashcards. The Pro plan is a paid subscription that unlocks unlimited flashcards and AI-powered features, as described on our pricing page.

3. Subscriptions and billing

• All purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the Merchant of Record and seller of record for every transaction. Your payment relationship, invoice, and any applicable taxes are handled by Dodo Payments.
• The Pro plan is billed as a recurring monthly subscription (currently $6/month, plus any applicable taxes) until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked in your Settings page. Cancellation stops future renewals; see our Refund Policy for refund terms, including the 7-day money-back guarantee.
• If a renewal payment fails and cannot be recovered, your account reverts to the free plan. Your data is not deleted, but content beyond free-plan limits may become read-only or inaccessible until you re-subscribe.
• Prices may change; we will give you advance notice before a change affects an active subscription.

4. Your content

You own the flashcards and other content you create. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, process, and display that content in order to run the service — including sending content you submit to AI features to Anthropic's Claude API to generate results. You are responsible for having the rights to any material you upload or import.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service for anything unlawful, or upload content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful;
• attempt to breach, probe, or disrupt the service, or access other users' data;
• abuse the AI features, resell access to them, or use automated means to extract them beyond normal personal use;
• share one account across many people or circumvent plan limits.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. AI output disclaimer

AI-generated flashcards and explanations can contain mistakes. They are provided as a study aid, not as authoritative fact — review generated content before relying on it, especially for exams or professional use.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vivek Borra is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

8. Termination

You can stop using RecallDeck and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or end the service (or your access to it) for violations of these terms, with notice where practical.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from them or your use of RecallDeck is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Andhra Pradesh, India.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. Questions about these terms: hello@getrecalldeck.com.
